David earned his bachelor’s degree in Theater at Central Washington University, where he spent 3 months each year touring the state with a children’s theatre troupe, playing iconic roles like Captain Hook, The Sherriff of Nottingham and the title character in Elves and the Shoemaker. He continued his acting training as an MFA student at the University of North Carolina.

During college, David also sold educational books door-to-door during each summer to pay for his tuition. It was in this time that he learned the incredible power books can have on both parents and children. It was during those formidable years acting and selling books that he discovered his joy for entertaining and inspiring children.

David’s doggy best friend of 18 years, Elvis the Pug, served as the inspiration for the Adventures of Wembly the Pug series.

David lives in the beautiful town of Edmonds, WA with his wife, Natalie, two young stepsons, and beautiful dogs Ember & Winnie. He is looking forward to sharing this wonderful story of courage and family and to continuing his journey of entertaining and educating children with Wembly’s many adventures.

She took inspiration from TV cartoons and children’s books that she used to read when she was a toddler. Antonella loves to create characters and stories to go along with them, and enjoys thinking as a child, drawing like them and for them.

Wembly (aka Elvis) The Pug

The character of Wembly is based off the most quirky, funny, and genuinely lovable dog ever, Elvis the Pug. Elvis crossed over the Rainbow Bridge at the spritely age of 18. He lived an amazing life and was loved beyond measure. He had the ability to light up a room whenever he met people.

Like Wembly, Elvis had 3 passions: food, sleep, and cuddling (in that order). He never left a bowl with food still in it. He could sleep anywhere, in any position, and still be comfortable. Elvis could be found sleeping on couches, under chairs, in the kitchen, behind the toilet, and even once was spotted resting on a bike wheel in total comfort. Elvis’s favorite place to sleep was bundled up next to his best friend, David.

Elvis was a celebrity in the neighborhood where he lived and walked. Everyone knew and loved Elvis. His holiday memes provided much joy and smiles to all who were fortunate enough to receive them. These same memes were also the actual inspiration behind Wembly the Pug.
