Wembly is a character that was inspired by the loving memory of my own Pug Elvis. I created these books out of a passion to help young readers develop and build emotional and social skills as they navigate through big life changes. Whether they are a preschooler ready to embark on their first day of school, or are welcoming a new sibling to the family, Wembly’s Adventures provides inspiration and support with stories for Preschoolers and Kindergarteners who are growing up and learning to thrive. I created Wembly to inspire children with his adventures that are supportive for early childhood learning, emotional development, social skills and strong family connections.

Meet The Family

  • Wembly

    Wembly is a joyful, loving, and silly pug. He has a BIG happy smile and adorable eyes that can make any heart melt. Wembly LOVES 3 things: food, family, and sleep. He can eat just about anything and never leaves his food bowl empty. He probably could have set a world record for cleaning his bowl of food. Wembly can sleep anywhere and in any position in the house and be comfortable. If you were to rank his sleeping abilities in terms of Star Wars, he would be a Jedi Master of the sleeping arts. Wembly adores his adopted family and they adore him right back!

  • Mom

    Mom is the protector of the family and home. She is always there to listen when they need an attentive ear or to provide a big hug if they need to feel safe, cared for, and loved. When she is not kicking the ball or playing games with her children, you can find her trying out a new recipe or reading about the latest do-it-yourself project she is planning.

  • Dad

    Some people call Dad “Coach” because of his love of sports and his motivational style of speaking. He is an optimist who usually has an encouraging word to say, even in challenging situations. Dad loves to cook and considers himself to be the “best chef” in the house. Dad is the champion of telling silly jokes that makes the family laugh. Dad loves to wear baseball caps and you can almost always find him with a ball nearby.

  • Ted

    Big brother Ted is both smart and strong. He is a natural leader that Wembly looks up to. Ted loves to show his brother and sister how to do things the “right way”. He also loves to wear bandanas.

  • Roo

    Her name is Ruby Mae, but everyone calls her Roo. She is the youngest and most adorable sister, and she knows it. You can find her most days carrying her favorite stuffed animal, Hedgy the Hedgehog, wherever she goes. Roo is generous, empathetic, and loves to share with others.

  • Grandma

    Grandma is the rock of the family and as much as Grandpa might think he is, “Gram Gram” is the boss around the house. Whenever someone needs an encouraging word, Grandma is there to provide it. She loves to dance and can be seen showing off her skills as she dances around the house to the joy of those around. Of all her wonderful qualities, Grandmas sense of humor is probably her best. Laughter surrounds her and she always leaves people feeling better and with a smile on their faces.

  • Grandpa

    Grandpa, or “Grandpup” as the children love to call him, is strong and courageous. If he is not sharing entertaining and funny stories about his life and many adventures, you can find him curled up with his favorite book, reading the newspaper, cheering on his favorite sports teams, or joyfully watching his grandchildren play.
